Areas of interest: Vision and aging, vision rehabilitation Responsible Optometrist in project SILVER in Kongsberg , served as professional visual contact in the municipality. Financially supportet by the Directorate of Health from 2010 to 2012 . Visual Rehabilitation - vision and strokes (2014-2016) Optometrists and project in KROSS, Expertise on Rehabilitation of Vision and Impact Backed by the Directorate of Health 2012-2014 Humanitarian work in optometry , participated in the work in Guatemala , Serbia , Bosnia. Applied for funding from the Centre for International Education (SIU ) , the goal is to establish an optometric education in Moldova

Responsibilities

Course coordinator and lecturer in the following bachelor courses:

2nd year: Optometry and social responsibility (OSAM2013)

3rd year: Optometric Rehabilitation and Visual Ergonomics (OSVE3013), Clinical Optometric Practice, Entrepreneurship and International Optometry (OVEI3015)

Project responsible/manager for EYE-FX, a competence and exchange project with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Kenya and Brien Holden Vision Insitute, South Africa. The project is supported with NOK 6 million by NOREC.

Project manager for InternAbroad, a collaborative project between USN and Brien Holden Vision Insitute, South Africa. The goal is to establish student exchanges and challenge entrepreneurship in optometry.

Project in Moldova - Norway collaboration, establishment of an optometric education. Supported by SIU with NOK 6 million.

Project team member  KROSS, Competence in Rehabilitation on Sight and Stroke. Supported by the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Extra Foundation; work on including vision tests as part of the patient course of a stroke patient.

Project team member NORVIS Network for improving visual rehabilitation and follow-up of stroke patients, as well as competence among health personnel.

Responsible for re-accreditation of the Optometry Bachelor program. Accreditation must meet the requirements for a European diploma for optometrists.
