How to get to Campus Ringerike

Campus Ringerike is located in the town in Hønefoss in Ringerike Municipality, Viken County, Norway, not far from the capital of Norway Oslo.

FROM OSLO AIRPORT

Oslo Airport (OSL) is about one hour drive from Campus Ringerike. To get to Ringerike we recommend arriving by daytime.

BUS:  You can take the airport bus Askeladden, which takes around one hour. Departs normally from platform 32, you can always ask in the information desk at the first floor at the airport. One adult cost around 300 NOK to Ringerike. The bus has no night service.

Train: This normally takes longer time then the airport Bus, because you have to travel via Oslo. The fastest way is to take the local train https://www.vy.no/en or airport express train direction Oslo. The airport express train is more expensive then the local train.  After you arrive, you can walk to the Oslo Bus terminal located next to Oslo Central Station. Take the bus 200 Hønefoss. The bus normally goes every hours every day. The service run run by the Brakar Bus Company You can find timetable here:  https://www.brakar.no/rutetabeller-og-linjekart/ruter/. One adult cost around 180 NOK. The bus has no night service.

From Oslo City Centre 

BUS: Go to the Oslo Bus terminal  and take the bus 200 Hønefoss. The service is provided by the Brakar Bus Company. See timetable.The bus normally goes every hours every day. The bus has no night service.

From Bergen 

Train: take the train with the Vy Rail Company from Bergen Station to Hønefoss Station.  The trip normally takes 5 hours.

Parking at Campus Ringerike

There are designated parking spots on campus marked «For students». It might be cramped for space.

There are 8 charging stations for eletric cars on campus. Due to high demand there is a 4 hours charging limit. You have to pay to charge.
