Why study Business Administration?

Companies have to a greater extent pursuit for young, qualified, and internationally experienced university graduates. This is because of changes in the political and economic framework such as globalization and internationalization of markets. Since internationalization is a focus area at USN, this programme reflects a desire to include international students at USN's academic program, as well as to provide the opportunity for Norwegian students to do parts of their studies in English.

The aim of this program, where students can choose between a full year or a semester stay, is to offer international undergraduate students an extended period of immersion into the cultural setting of academic studies at the Bø campus. The students will be exposed to the requirements of critical thinking and independent work, which characterizes the Norwegian academic context. Moreover, students will gain international mobility as well as necessary personal and social skills.

What you will learn

Our Business Administration programme gives you the opportunity to study either a full academic year or one semester exchange.

These courses are offered in English and are mainly at upper division undergraduate level. Learning methods include lecturers, group work seminars, tutoring, individual preparation, fieldwork, study trips and independent study. Some courses include mandatory attendance.

Final assessments are based on a variety of tasks, such as term papers, exams, reports, oral presentations, and final individual written examinations. The grade scale is from A-F, where E is the lowest passing grade. All elements must be passed. Pass/No Pass applies to a few courses. Examinations are normally scheduled in December and in May.
