Why study Process Technology?

Would you like to be able to design and evaluate industrial process equipment units, such as heat exchangers, absorbers or transport systems? Do you see the potential in being able to make mathematical models and improve processes through simulation studies? Would you like to learn how to estimate the costs of building process plants?

The master programme in Process Technology educates engineers who will be qualified for working in all types of processing plants, both onshore and offshore. As an expert in process technology, you can help shape the world's future energy consumption and improve industrial production processes.

The programme is taught in English and international students are enrolled in this programme. The vibrant student environment offers excellent facilities and students have close contact with their teachers.

Admission requirements

The programme is open to international exchange students studying at one of USN's bilateral partner institutions. Exchange students must have completed at least 60 ECTS or equivalent within the relevant study field, and be officially nominated by their home institution, to enroll. Admission to the programme requires a good command of the English language, both spoken and written. An English proficiency equivalent to B2 (Cambridge) level is recommended.

Admission requirements

The programme is open to international exchange students studying at one of USN's bilateral partner institutions. Exchange students must have completed  their Bachelor diploma as well as 1 semester at Master's level within the relevant study field, and be officially nominated by their home university, to enrol.

Please note:

  • Some engineering courses might have special prerequisites. Please make sure that you check the course descriptions and fulfil the given prerequisites before you apply for admission. 
  • Students can only choose modules from one campus.
