Programme quality

The dimension known as programme quality involves a good and well-functioning study programme that is designed comprehensively, targeting coherence and progression.

A high programme quality implies that the content, teaching and learning methods, practice and assessment methods are designed in line with the learning outcomes, and are adapted to the level of development required by the student from semester to semester, so that the student has the opportunity to succeed in their studies within a reasonable timeframe.

Internationalisation abroad and at home is also important for programme quality, and shall be adapted to the level of the study programme and professional targets.
Designing a good overall study programme is a complex operation, and section 2-2 of the Academic Supervision Regulations specifies all the requirements that lay the framework for a comprehensive and high quality programme. The programme coordinator plays a key role in creating good interaction between all the different parties involved, such as course supervisors and other academic persons, study administration, support services, social and working life and, naturally, the students. The programme coordinator shall also chair the programme committee, which is an important arena for ensuring close dialogue, interaction and quality development.
