Kristin Falk is Professor at the University of Southeastern Norway (USN) and a director of the Industrial Research School in Complex Systems (INRESCOS). At USN she is fronting research on systems engineering, teaching, and supervising masters and PhD students. She is the scientific lead in the H-SEIF2 project on the value of big data and digitalization. Kristin holds a PhD in Petroleum Production and a Masters in Industrial Mathematics, both from NTNU. She has worked with product development in the oil and gas industry for more than 20 years. Her industrial experience ranges from subsea systems development in large multinational companies to developing drilling service solutions in a start-up Company. She is vise chair in the Viken Regional research fund. Her research focus is how to collaborate to make trustworthy, changeable, and sustainable engineered systems - adopted to humans.
