Several countries, both within and outside Europe, have imposed restrictions on student exchange for the upcoming academic year.
USN Rector Petter Aasen has made the following decisions for international admissions and student exchanges at USN for Autumn 2020:
• All exchanges between USN and outside of Europe for Autumn 2020 will be cancelled. The faculties will consider whether outgoing mobility eventually can be facilitated in the study programmes for Spring 2021 instead. A further decision considering exchanges between USN and institutions within Europe will be made by May 18, latest.
• All practice placements for health science programmes and teaching education, including clinical placements and internships, will be cancelled for Autumn 2020. The faculties will consider the possibility of eventually facilitating practice placements in the study programmes for Spring 2021 instead.
• Enrolment of international degree students in the international Master degree programmes will continue as normal for Autumn 2020, except Maritime Management and Environmental Science. To allow students to enrol in the current situation, the first semester Autumn 2020, all international degree programmes will be offered as online teaching.
