3DandVRforVET is an Erasmus+ project (2019-1-HR01-KA202-061006) running from 31/12/2019 to 29/06/2022 and coordinated by the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula in Croatia (Key Action: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices. Action Type: Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training).

The main objective of the project is the dissemination of knowledge to the students, academic staff and other enthusiasts in the field of new trending technologies of CAD modeling, 3D printing, and Virtual Reality. It is mainly targeted towards technical and vocational / industrial schools.

The work plan focuses on the development, design, and transfer of the innovative specialized skills and tools used in the fields of additive technologies, robotics and virtual reality, extending their application into the vocational education sector, through the development of specialized education modules.

Blended learning environments coupling online self-paced learning with practical offline training will greatly facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge and skills in fast-paced technologies, offering important benefits to teachers, learners, and other interested users. The expectations of the project users are focused on the rapid acquisition of skills and knowledge in these domains, in line with new trends in the industry. Special attention is paid to designing suitable materials for blind and visually impaired people, as well as people with physical disabilities.

The project also works as a platform to ensure the exchange of expertise, experience and good practices amongst the partner organizations. It will deliver a prototype learning system to leverage technological improvements in 3D and VR technologies applied in education, facilitating their adoption in the member countries.

The project deliverables include handbooks comprising good practices and recipes for 3D experience improvement, and open education content in this sector. The work plan comprises two workshops and two multiplier events, the last planned for Pula on April 27/28, 2022.
