Health education in India and Norway (HEIN)

This project aims to enhance the quality of health education by improving learning outcomes through student exchange, teacher involvement and virtual mobility.

HEIN will enable students at bachelor, master and PhD level to improve their learning outcomes through the international collaboration between the partner institutions, by giving them opportunities for international student exchange in India and Norway; introduce students unable to travel to international classrooms using virtual mobility; and securing high quality and relevance through extensive teacher involvement.

Hence, the project clearly supports the SDGs no. 3, Good health and well-being, no. 4, Quality education, and no. 17, Partnerships for the goals.

The main activities and indicators of the project are:
1. Student exchange
2. Virtual mobility
3. Teacher involvement

The expected results by the end of the project period are that a total of 48 students from SPPU, BVCON and USN, respectively, have experienced high quality student exchange to India and Norway; that joint activities for virtual mobility are implemented, creating international classrooms for students at home; and that the extensive teacher involvement throughout the project period has secured improved learning outcomes for all the students involved.

Moreover, the project aims to give results beyond the project partners, through innovative and active dissemination, and beyond the project period, through having established strong partnerships where the project activities have been embedded in sustainable structures at the partnering institutions.

Hence, the short-term and long-term effects of the project will hopefully support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in many years to come.
