I am currently a Ph.D. Research Fellow at USN Norway (Department of microsystems). My research work at USN is concentrated on the catalyst design and fabrication for CO2 reduction. I am a trained and qualified individual with a Masters's degree in Advanced Energy and System Engineering following a background in Materials Science. Moreover, I have about 3 years of research experience in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) working at the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER). During my stay at KIER, I worked on projects primarily related to improving the performance of the SOFCs by optimizing the parameters of the cathode. Within the domain of these projects, I familiarized myself with the manufacturing of the SOFC components such as the anode support, electrolyte, buffer layer, and cathode by using various processes such as tape casting, dip coating, and screen printing. In addition, vital experience regarding the SOFC installation, operation, and electrochemical measurement (EIS) at high temperatures was also gained. In addition, I also have hands-on experience with characterization techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), SEM-EDS, and X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) among others.
