The Motivation Conference

The Conference on Motivation is an annual conference with invited international and national researchers within the field of motivation based on Self-Determination Theory. Self-Determination Theory is a motivational theory with a wide application area and has gained increasingly attention both nationally and internationally. The Conference on Motivation has the last years had its main focus on motivation in three contexts – work organizations, healthcare, and education.

We have one of the founders of Self-Determination Theory as a keynote speaker at the conference. In addition, Professor Geoffrey C. Williams and Associate Professor Christopher P. Niemiec from the University of Rochester have previously held keynotes in the field of health and education, respectively. In addition, new empirical studies tied to application of self-determination theory in work, health, and education are provided each year.
