Training and Assessment Research Group (TARG)

TARG is focused on developing tools, methods, and solutions for improved performance and safety in complex socio-technical systems (maritime and process industries).

The vision of the research group is focused on developing training and assessment methods (rigorous, unbiased and automated) for complex work performances such as coastal navigation, maritime operations and teamwork.

TARG was founded in 2015 and has since then contributed to the research efforts and objectives of USN and department of maritime operations. TARG constitutes of 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 4 master students, 4 PhD student(s), 1 Post doc and 1 scientific assistant along with several instructors and support staff.
