Cardiaccs - Student Program

Cardiaccs has developed a unique and innovative method for heart function monitoring by leveraging technology that surgeons have been using for more than 30 years.

USN Master of Science – Micro and Nano System Technology, Student program

Our solution provides highly accurate and continuous data on the function of the heart without changing the surgeon’s behavior. This allows for improved patient recovery and early detection of post-operative complications.

Cardiaccs was founded in 2009 as a result of several years of research and development by the Intervention Centre at Oslo University Hospital in collaboration with the University of South-East Norway (USN). The core technology is based on acceleration sensors for monitoring heart wall motion. Now, we want to expand our product portfolio and strengthen our engineering team. The successful candidate will be working on packaging and micro-assembly prototypes of the next generation sensors for heart function monitoring. The sensors will be developed in close collaboration with Mectro AS and the research groups at Rikshospitalet, Oslo University Hospital. Find out more about Cardiaccs AS at www.cardiaccs.com
