The university and student accommodation are located right in the city centre, and most things are within reach with a short walk. Drammen has a compact urban environment that makes it easy to navigate and participate in the city's life.

Orientation week and social integration
The orientation week is organised by students for students, and serves as an important arena to get to know fellow students and the campus. The week features themed parties, game nights, scavenger hunts, and social gatherings, and all new students are divided into orientation groups led by experienced students. Emphasis is placed on inclusion and well-being, and there is no expectation of alcohol consumption to participate.

The Students' Union in South-East Norway offers student accommodation in close proximity to the campus and city centre. The accommodations provide a safe and social environment, and it is easy to change rooms or get help if needed. The community within the residences offers opportunities to make friendships across study programmes.

Drammen has a wide selection of sports clubs and leisure activities. The campus has its own student sports team with weekly training sessions and trips. Students also receive discounts at the MOOV gym, which is located right by the campus. Physical activity is an important part of student life and contributes to both health and well-being.

Student society and engagement
The student society in Drammen offers many opportunities for voluntary engagement, whether through the orientation committee, events at the student house "1. etasje", or student politics. Volunteering provides valuable experience, expands networks, and strengthens the CV. The student house may also be rented out for private events to members.

Drammen has a rich selection of local eateries and nightlife that provide a taste of the big city. Students receive discounts on food, drinks, and activities through the student society. The city’s music festival, Elvefestivalen, is a highlight for many new students in August.

Location: Campus Drammen is situated within the knowledge park Papirbredden in Drammen city centre, with the Drammenselva river as its closest neighbour. The municipality has just under 69,000 inhabitants. Drammen train station is only a 10-minute walk away, with trains to and from, among others, Oslo, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Bergen, Skien, and Kongsberg.
Did you know?: All students receive half price on gym memberships at the Student Welfare Organisation's gym MOOV, which is only a minute's walk from campus Drammen. As a new student, you will also have time to attend the city's major music festival, the Elvefestivalen, in August.
