The University city Notodden
Whether you love blues or nature, Notodden is the place to be. Check out some of the things the city of blues has to offer:
In the midst of beautiful nature, a vibrant student community welcomes you with open arms.
We've asked three students what they think it's like to study at Notodden:
«If you enjoy a varied, busy lifestyle, this is the place for you.»
Ragnhild Olsen
«I really enjoy the classes and look forward to them every time. Socially, it's a bit like a camp for adults, since we live in short-term rental apartments in the same place where many share kitchen and living room.»
Sophie Henriette Aurland
«We have nice premises, good learning conditions and many good teachers. What is unique about USN Notodden is that many of the teachers are active artists.»
Kaia Hortemo Skåttet

The easiest way to get to Notodden is to take a bus to Kollektivterminalen, the public transport terminal. You can also get off at the bus stop Nils Bjørnebu where there is a 10-minute walk down to campus. From the Kollektivterminal there are local buses that go up to the university 5 minutes every hour.
There are trains to Notodden and the end station is Notodden station. From Porsgrunn and Skien you can take the Bratsberg railway (local train) to Notodden. The train ride takes an hour and from the public transport terminal there are local buses to the university.
When you arrive at Notodden via the E134 you will see an exit to Bolkesjø and the University. Follow this road until you reach a sharp left turn (after a few minutes). There you drive straight ahead and follow the signs to the university and the parking lot.
We do not allow overnight stays in car parks, green areas or in the university's buildings.
Campus Notodden has a bike rack for parking both at the main entrance and rear entrance of the campus.
