![]()
Erasmus+ is the EU's program for education, training, youth and sports, and Norway participates on an equal footing with EU member states.
This scholarship is money that the student gets and shall not be paid back. In addition to this scholarship, all students with Norwegian citizenship will be able to apply for loans and scholarships from Lånekassen.
How does the scholarship work?
You do not need to apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship. The section for internationalization will contact you approx. 2 months before departure so that you can sign the necessary documents and give us your account number.
NB! We apply for Erasmus+ funding from HK-dir every year, but we never know in advance how much we will receive. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that we will have sufficient funds available each year. So far, we have had enough funds for everyone, but we cannot make any promises for the future.
The number of months you are on an exchange will affect how much scholarship you receive. You must travel on an exchange for a minimum of 3 months (one semester) and can receive a maximum scholarship for 12 months (two semesters).
You get approx. 70% of the scholarship paid after you arrive at the host-institution, and the remaining amount you get when you are back home in Norway, and the EU-report is delivered.
When you travel on an exchange through Erasmus+, your study stay is approved in advance, as part of your degree. This means, you do not miss study progression. You also get a language test and a certificate, and you can get a free language course.
