We are so glad to share our experiences and journey of Norway Days. We were four students coming to University of South-Eastern Norway, at the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences; Ms.Sneha Maria Chacko, Ms. Jensa Anna Varghese, Ms. Sunidhi Narayan and Ms. Alisha Jinson.
We are bachelor students in Nursing from from Bharati Vidyapeeth ( Deemed to be University) College of Nursing, Pune.
The International Student Exchange Program was for 14 days from 25/01/2025 to 8/02/2025.
It was fantastic that the HK-dir project provided such a valuable learning experience at USN University, Norway.
We got exposure to Norwegian nursing homes, youth health centers, hospitals, and the maternity ward in Tønsberg offered a comprehensive look at their healthcare system. Learning about transcultural nursing, nursing education, public health, youth care, Maternal care, and midwifery practices in Norway will undoubtedly be beneficial in your future careers.
The hands-on experience in the simulation lab, including practicing urinary catheter insertion, and the workshops on pregnancy care, delivery, suturing, and intubation at the Vestfold Campus, was particularly valuable.
Other than acedemic side, we also had enjoyable times in Oslo, Porsgrunn, Tonsberg, Skoppum, Skien and many parts of Norway. The USN University representatives, other faculty members supported and helped us a lot through the two weeks. Elizabeth Holm Hanson Ma'am , Siv Roel ma'am , Linda ma'am and many others faculty and students helped us.
Overall the all 14 days were so enjoyable and knowledge providing which helped us all to know more about the nursing care and helped us to get more focused on our Nursing Education in Future.
Thank you for providing this opportunity to us and evolve, grow and strengthen us. Experiencing the culture and sights of Norway alongside your academic pursuits made for a well-rounded and memorable trip.
