Responsibilities

At USN, André teaches financial accounting, managerial economics, and strategic management, as well as supervising bachelor students within these fields. He is committed to applying theoretical models to practical problems to highlight the connection between theory and practice. Additionally, he is frequently engaged as an external examiner at other Norwegian higher education institutions.

André's research interests include:

  • Entrepreneurial ecosystems – how they influence entrepreneurship in a regional context.
  • Corporate governance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – with a particular focus on board composition and financing.
  • Financial reporting – emphasizing earnings management, information quality, and financial statement quality.
  • Teaching quality – how different pedagogical approaches impact learning outcomes.

CV

André holds a double master’s degree in Management Accounting (Siviløkonom) and Accounting and Auditing (MRR) and has previously worked as an auditor at Deloitte. In addition, he has run his own consulting business. Currently, André is also a Ph.D. candidate in the INTOP program at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, where he researches entrepreneurial ecosystems.
