The Senior Safety Representative: 

• coordinates USN's safety service. The safety service consists currently of 38 safety representatives. All academic and administrative units at USN have a dedicated safety representative who acts as a liaison between the employer and employees, fostering collaboration to create a safe workplace through health, environment and safety efforts (HMS) and advocating for their well-being.  The safety representatives' role is to safeguard the interests of all employees in matters relating to the working environment and to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with the provisions of the Working Environment Act. 
• participates in several central development processes and institutional committees, including the main working environment committee, the emergency and safety committee, the information, discussion and negotiation committee (IDF), the equality and inclusion committee, the learning environment committee, dialogue meetings with our Rector, and the central emergency group throughout the corona pandemic.
