Responsibilities
Anne Schjelderup has a major in pedagogy with supporting subjects in philosophy, organizational and work psychology, and philosophy and ethics.
She has extensive teaching experience, including as a classroom teacher in public primary and secondary schools and at the Steiner School, as a special needs teacher, as a social advicor at upper secondary schools, and as a philosophical conversation leader for adults and children. In this connection, she developed her own approach to managing class discussions, by systematically using philosophical methods to lead academic discussions in larger groups. The teaching method is described in the article "Learning science through philosophical dialogues" and the book "Kritisk tenkning i klasserommet – filosofisk metode i undervisning og veiledning".
Anne Schjelderup also has experience from kindergartens, she has worked as a subject manager and as a general manager of kindergartens and as a lecturer in pedagogy at the preschool teacher education program. She has led a number of pedagogical development projects in kindergartens, and developed her own approach to kindergarten pedagogy, which is explained in the book "Danning gjennom omsorg, lek og læring i barnehagen".
Anne Schjelderup has experience in public management. She has been employed as a senior advisor in the Ministry of Education and Research in the Department for Kindergarten and Primary School, where she has contributed to the work on reports to the Storting, laws and regulations for kindergarten and school, including the framework plan for kindergarten and after-school care.
