I am employed as an associate professor in the field of cultural studies at the Bø campus. My research interests include, but are not limited to, culture and media policy, cultural sociology, cultural industries, alternative film distribution and dissemination, digitization and smaller independent players in the cultural industries, diversity, as well as film and audiovisual media. I am a member of the NordMedia Network and the Cultural Policy Research Group (USN). Previously, I have been affiliated with the Media Aesthetics research group (UiO) and the Industry Studies within Audiovisual Media group (BAM, Innlandet University of Applied Sciences). I teach in the BA program in Cultural Management and the MA program in Cultural Studies. In collaboration with the Telemark Research Institute, I have conducted research in the field of film policy and diversity. Additionally, my contribution to the application secured external funding for the research project on diversity in Norwegian film, where I served as the assistant project manager (developed R.Q. based on my work on film policy in PhD etc).

Responsibilities

I also teach several courses, including Cultural Policy (MA/BA), Cultural Leadership (MA), and Culture for Children and Youth (BA). I supervise student projects at both the BA and MA levels, including students completing internships (e.g., Vega Scene (art cinema), Motlys (film company), Blå (concert venue), Parkteateret (concert venue), and MØST (music organization)).
