Jon Mikel Zabala

Jon Mikel Zabala-Iturriagagoitia received his PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in Engineering and Innovation Projects (2008). His main research skills and interests include science, technology and innovation policy, innovation management, and the use of indicators to inform policy decisions and evaluations related to innovation. His research combines both qualitative and quantitative methods. He has been involved in several regional, national and international projects in the research areas previously mentioned, and has worked closely with different firms, universities, research centers and other social actors. His research has also had a strong policy impact, collaborating with supranational organizations such as the European Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the World Bank. As a lecturer, he has been involved in courses at the Phd, Msc and undergraduate levels at several European and Latin American universities.
