Jostein Paulgård Østmoen

I am a lecturer and supervisor in the Bachelor's Programme in Early Childhood Teacher Education, where I teach courses in child development, play, learning, and pedagogy. I also serve as Head of the Further Education Programme in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) in Drammen, and contribute to regional collaborative professional development initiatives for ECEC centres. My research focuses on early childhood education and care, with particular interests in play, transitions, and professional practice and professional formation in higher education. In 2021, I was awarded the national Early Childhood Education Inspirator of the Year Award in recognition of my contributions to the field.
