Marius is a full professor in Information Systems at the USN school of Business. He researches how digital technologies shape democracy, public sector development, and society. His work focuses on digital democracy, political communication in social media, public sector digitalization, and citizen participation. More recently, his research has expanded to include disinformation, polarization, societal resilience, and the use of artificial intelligence in education and competence development.
He teaches at Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels and participates in several national and international research and innovation projects related to digital transformation, sustainability, democracy, and educational technology.

- Member of the PhD Programme Committee in Management.
- Teaching in the Bachelor's programme in IT and Information Systems.
- Teaching in Master's programmes related to digitalization, social analysis, and cybersecurity.

- Research and project development within national and international consortia.
- Editorial Board Member, Norwegian Journal of Media Studies.
- Leadership and reviewer roles in international conferences on digital government, democracy, and information systems.
