Competences
I am an Occupational Therapist (Bachelor degree from Bergen University College (2011)) with a Master's degree in Vision Pedagogy and Vision Rehabilitation, specializing in visual impairments following stroke and other brain injuries, from the University of South-Eastern Norway (2018–2022). My primary expertise as an occupational therapist lies in acute stroke care and geriatrics, and I have been certifies a occupational therapists' specialist in somatic health since 2023. In addition to my role as a PhD candidate, I work in a vision rehabilitation outpatient clinic (20% position) at Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital. At the clinic, I provide assessment and rehabilitation for brain-related visual impairments, with a primary focus on visual field loss following stroke. My main research interest today, which is also the focus of my academic work, concerns post-stroke visual field loss (homonymous hemianopia and quadrantanopia).
