- Conduct research on solvent-based CO₂ capture technologies
- Design and perform experiments on CO₂ capture systems, applying spectroscopy and chromatography as analytical tools
- Apply process analytical technologies (PAT) for process monitoring and data acquisition
- Analyse reaction mechanisms, mass transfer, and process performance
- Develop and apply process models and simulations for CO₂ capture systems
- Evaluate and optimise process conditions for efficiency and scalability
- Contribute to scientific publications and dissemination of research results
- Collaborate with supervisors, research groups, and industry partners
- Ensure safe and responsible use of laboratory facilities and equipment
- Participate in doctoral training courses and academic activities
Competences
Analytical chemist and PhD Research Fellow with over five years of experience in laboratory analysis, quality control, and process-oriented research. Proficient in advanced analytical techniques including FTIR, GC, LC, and MS, as well as process analytical technologies (PAT) for in-situ monitoring and process evaluation. Experienced in quality management systems and internal auditing under ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards.
Current research focuses on solvent-based CO₂ capture, integrating experimental investigations with process modelling to study reaction mechanisms, mass transfer, and system performance. Additional background spans materials research and electrochemical systems, contributing to a broader understanding of functional materials and energy-related applications.
Professional and academic experience includes industrial analytical roles at Bureau Veritas, SGS, and Fresenius Kabi, research at the University of Malaya, and Erasmus Mundus training across multiple European institutions.
