How can organisations make better use of the knowledge and expertise they already possess while reducing the effort required to deliver complex systems? Critical knowledge is distributed across individuals, disciplines and teams, often buried in everyday discussions, design reviews and problem-solving activities. This makes it difficult to retain engineering knowledge, identify expertise, understand collective team capabilities and translate stakeholder input into formal engineering outputs. My research explores how computational linguistics can unlock this value by extracting engineering-relevant information from organisational discourse. The aim is to connect individual expertise with collective team capabilities while turning stakeholder and expert discussions into structured, traceable engineering information. The goal is to help organisations reduce duplicated effort, strengthen engineering decisions, retain critical expertise and deliver systems more effectively.

My research approach draws on an interdisciplinary background in physical and social sciences, combining systems analysis with an understanding of human behaviour, collaboration, and decision-making.
