He has a broad background in youth work, focusing on youth participation, capacity building for youth workers at both national and international levels, and informal learning processes.


As a member of USN's research group TRALAYA, he contributes to the development of new knowledge and methods in the field. Solberg is strongly committed to enhancing youth participation and inclusion in society, often linking theory with practice through collaboration with students and external partners.


With several years of experience teaching at bachelor’s and master’s levels, Solberg is focused on  integrating theoretical perspectives with practical approaches in youth work.


He has also played a key role in developing USN's academic offerings in youth work and regularly contributes to conferences and publications, both nationally and internationally.
