Tarald is an Associate Professor in Political Science at the School of Business of the University of South-Eastern Norway. His research revolves around questions of power, state capacity, international negotiations, and investor-state relations.

Competences

Tarald's work has appeared in leading journals in the field of international relations such as The Review of International Organizations, International Studies Quarterly, and Review of International Political Economy.

Tarald also holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship at PluriCourts at the University of Oslo where he co-leads two working packages in the COPIID project, and is a researcher on the LEGINVEST project.
