USN VPN

1. Go to: https://www.eduvpn.org/client-apps/ 
2. Download EduVPN for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
3. Start the installation file you downloaded.
4. Select Install 
5. When the installation is complete, choose between: 

• Launch to start EduVPN right away.
• Close and start EduVPN later from the Start menu or desktop.

1. Start EduVPN.
2. In the search field, type USN.
3. Select University of South-Eastern Norway.
4. The browser opens automatically. Log in with your usual USN user account.
5. Approve the connection.
6. After approval, EduVPN connects automatically.

The login is valid for 90 days. After this, you will be asked to authenticate again.

You start the program by opening EDU VPN.

You can turn the VPN off and on with the main button in the program.

It usually takes 10–15 seconds before the connection becomes active.
 

Some networks (e.g. hotels or guest networks) block standard VPN traffic (UDP).
Solution:

• Use a TCP connection in one of the following ways: 
  • Click the TCP button shown above the on/off button
  • Go to Settings (gear icon at the top right) and choose to prefer TCP
