What does this mean?
This service means that you can only sign in to selected systems and services from a device that is registered with the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN).
A registered device can, for example, be a work computer or another device that is connected to USN's IT solutions and meets the university's security requirements.
Why is this being introduced?
The purpose is to protect user accounts and data against unauthorized access. By requiring sign-in from registered devices, the risk of account misuse and unauthorized access to sensitive information is reduced.
Who should order this service?
This service is intended for employees who want an additional layer of security for their user account or who need to protect access to important systems and data.
What happens when the service is activated?
Once the service has been activated, signing in to selected services will require you to use a registered device.
If you try to sign in from a personal or unregistered device, the sign-in attempt will be denied.
How do I order the service?
To order the service, go to tilgang.usn.no and select Katalog. Then find Krav om registrert enhet in the list of available services and submit your request.
Once your request has been processed and the service has been activated, the registered device requirement will automatically be applied to your user account.
