Background of the Conference
International Forum for Studies in Society and Religion (IFSSR) haS organized in collaboration with many reputed national and International organizations several International conferences over the years on relevant societal issues. in 2024, 12-13 of January IFSSR organize an International conference in which world experts on the philosophy and practice of Grundtvig, Tagore and Freire, Citizenship Education, Democracy, Global Folk High School Movement, etc will congregate and deliberate. The principal aim of this conference is to enlighten the people of India especially the youths about the great strides made by the international community in the field of education and enlightenment and to try to seek implementation of some of these epoch- making endeavours in India. Kolkata, the cultural capital of India would like to act as the harbinger of this initiative.
