Entrepreneurship and Student Enterprises

In strategic plan for the University of South-Eastern Norway 2017-2021, it is stated that we will develop the University "... into an internationally oriented, regionally based and entrepreneurial university of a high international quality». In order to contribute to innovation, entrepreneurship and international cooperation the research group Entrepreneurship and Student Enterprise is established.


Background

University College of Telemark, now University of South-Eastern Norway, started the first entrepreneurial course (Student Enterprise) in 2004 and has proven to provide a successful educational model. Students from USN are the most frequent winners in national championships.

Objectives

  • Enhancement and expansion of existing entrepreneurship programs through inclusion of other institutes and faculties.
  • Establish and improve national and international links
  • Training of USN staff in entrepreneurship mentoring
  • Publication of scientific papers
  • More publication points
  • More research funding
