A key element of the University of South-Eastern Norway's strategy is the emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship. The "Entrepreneurship and Student Enterprises" research group has been established to support this objective. USN aims to be an internationally focused, regionally grounded, and entrepreneurial university recognized for its high international standards.

Background

The University College of Telemark, which is now known as the University of South-Eastern Norway, boasts a rich history of entrepreneurship, having launched its inaugural entrepreneurial course (Student Enterprise) in 2004. This initiative has established a successful educational framework, with USN students regularly emerging as the most frequent victors in national competitions.

Objectives:

  • Enhance and expand current entrepreneurship programs by incorporating additional institutes and faculties.
  • Establish and strengthen national and international connections.
  • Train USN staff in entrepreneurship mentoring.
  • Publish scientific papers.
  • Increase publication points.
  • Secure more research funding.
  • Generate new project ideas.
