EDUC-AI-TION: Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

Explore how artificial intelligence (AI) affects teaching and learning in higher education, and what this means in practice. Application deadline 30 April.

Students, PhD candidates and staff at USN are invited to participate in the international online course EDUC-AI-TION – Artificial Intelligence, Learning and Education (courses.educalliance.eu).

Through contributions from researchers, educational experts and teachers from the EDUC alliance and our partners, we focus on how AI is changing higher education in terms of teaching, learning and academic responsibility.

You will gain insight into the pedagogical, ethical and cultural aspects of using AI in higher education. The goal is to create understanding, engagement and a more conscious and responsible use of AI in education.

About the course

The course runs from 5 to 28 May 2026.

The teaching takes place online and combines eight short sessions (4.00–5.00 pm) and flexible online content available on EDUC's digital learning platform Moodle. All teaching sessions will be recorded and uploaded to Moodle. 

Participants who complete the course and pass the final assessment will receive an EDUC certificate documenting work equivalent to 2 ECTS credits.

Who can participate?

Everyone! The course is particularly relevant for bachelor’s and master’s students and PhD candidates in educational science, but is also open to students and staff from other disciplines who wish to learn more about AI in teaching.

No specific prior knowledge is required. Good skills in English are necessary to follow the lectures and participate in discussions.
