I am an exercise physiologist and Associate Professor at the Department of Outdoor Studies, Sport, and Physical Education, Campus Bø. I both teach and conduct research on topics related to physical training, training adaptations, and the effects of exercise, from both a health and performance perspective. My doctoral work focused, among other things, on the effects of exercise in individuals with type 2 diabetes, and in recent years, I have been extensively involved in studies examining performance-determining factors in running, cross-country skiing, and cycling.

Bachelor program coordinator, BAITL - Idrett, Trening og ledelse (Sports & Exercise). Department of Sports, Physical Education and Outdoor Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Sports, and Educational Science. 

Co-leader of the research unit Health and Exercise in a Lifecourse perspective (HELP). 

Chair of the National Forum for Health and Exercise Physiologists in Higher Education.
