Shao Fang (Steven) Wen is an Associate Professor in Information Technology with extensive experience in system development, cybersecurity, and technology leadership. His research focuses on context based approaches to security analysis, security assurance for software and AI systems, and the use of artificial intelligence to support security evaluation and decision making.
In teaching, Wen works primarily with programming, algorithms, and software security. He is particularly interested in developing teaching methods that promote reflection, problem solving, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in programming education.
Wen also has broad experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, industry oriented research projects, and externally funded research initiatives involving both academia and industry partners.
