Lost or stolen mobile device

USN employees are expected to take good care of their mobile phones. This includes taking the necessary precautions to avoid stealing, lost, damaged cell phone or any other mobile device such as a tablet.

You who are employed and have a USN mobile phone, other mobile device or USN subscription are responsible for reporting the loss.

The following process must be followed if the device is stolen or lost:

  • Send email to IT-support@usn.no
  •    Change USN passwords and any other passwords for services you have on your device
  •    The subscription must be blocked immediately:
  • If the unit has been stolen, the theft must be reported to the police and possibly to the insurance company https://www.politiet.no/en/services/report-theft-or-damage/
  •     The employee must document that the points above have been completed

You can further secure yourself by doing the following:

Apple device:
Log in to https://www.icloud.com/ and set your mobile phone to Lost
  Select: Find Iphone
  Find the device on the map, tap <i> (Information) and select Lost Mode
  The device locks with a message and tracking is activated.

Android device:
