At the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), we see no real difference between creating wealth for ourselves or creating wealth for others. We are breaking down the barriers between education and application in the real world, and actively link our teaching and research to the world of business.
We encourage entrepreneurship by giving our students the time and the confidence to tackle real challenges in real business environments. Among the most important things we can do for our students is to teach them to accept uncertainty, adapt quickly, be creative, think outside the box and improvise.
USN is an innovative and flexible institution that is ready to meet new challenges. As true entrepreneurs, we welcome anything that is out of the ordinary, and we are always positive to new ways of working together. This is what we mean when we describe ourselves as an entrepreneurial university.
The most important resource that we humans have is our innate ability to learn – but we often need a little help along the way. This is why we support our students with mentoring, opportunities to form student companies, vocational paths to higher education, salaried work as part of their education, and meetings with business leaders on campus.
At USN we aim to stimulate curiosity, put established knowledge and reasoning to the test, and inspire our students to take an active part in wider society.
