Amrit from Nepal:

Imagine stepping into a whirlwind of new experiences, armed with the excitement of delving deep into electrical engineering at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). The decision to join this MS by Research program was fueled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a drive to explore innovative approaches within a short span.

USN wasn’t just about academics; it was a canvas of unexpected adventures woven into scholarly pursuits. Amidst the intensive coursework, there emerged this thrilling escapade—an impromptu skiing journey at Hafjell. Gliding through Norway’s picturesque landscapes, the rush of adrenaline mingled with the awe of nature’s splendor, etching unforgettable memories.
Beyond lectures and research modules, there was a sense of belonging at Jotunvein, the SSN student housing. It was a home away from home, fostering connections that made the experience richer. Those casual chats over coffee hours and the surprise moments of free food at the SSN canteen added a unique warmth to campus life.

During our studies at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), there was an outstanding example of assistance that took place outside of the classroom. When the need for a police appointment arose, USN stepped in. A dedicated student representative selflessly guided us through the entire process, transforming what could have been a daunting task in a foreign land into a seamless experience. This act of support from USN illuminated a caring and inclusive environment, reinforcing the notion that the institution goes above and beyond to assist students in navigating life beyond academics.
Ah, and then there was Dashain—a festival that’s the heartbeat of Nepal. Here at SSN housing, we brought the spirit of Dashain alive, gathering all Nepalese students for a celebration that resonated with our culture, traditions, and shared heritage. It was a heartfelt reunion, an echo of home amid a new adventure.

USN, with its blend of academic rigor and delightful surprises, left an indelible mark. It wasn’t just a journey in electrical engineering; it was an exploration of diverse experiences packed into a brief yet impactful timeframe. Recommending USN? Absolutely—a testament to the vortex of emotions, academic depth, and thrilling adventures that redefine the power of condensed experiences.
