Welcome to USN Campus Kongsberg

Partner Days 2027 will take place at the University of South-Eastern Norway's campus in Kongsberg, one of Norway's leading centres for technology, industry and innovation.

USN Campus Kongsberg brings together three faculties: the Faculty of Technology, Natural Sciences and Maritime Sciences (TNM), the School of Business (HH), and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (HS). This multidisciplinary environment fosters close collaboration between academia, industry and the public sector.

Kongsberg is home to a unique ecosystem of high-technology companies operating in sectors such as defence, aerospace, maritime systems, digitalisation and advanced manufacturing. The strong partnership between industry and higher education has shaped the city for generations and continues to drive innovation and competence development.

The campus is also home to Norway's only optometry programme, reflecting USN's national role in educating highly specialised professionals.

Our meetings will be held at the historic Bergseminaret, Norway's first civil institution of higher education, established in 1757 to educate engineers and technical specialists for the mining industry. Today, the building serves as a meeting place for collaboration between higher education and industry. 

During the event, we also plan a visit to the famous Kongsberg Silver Mines, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the city's rich industrial heritage and the origins of Kongsberg's long-standing tradition of technology and innovation.

We look forward to welcoming all partners to Kongsberg in May/June 2027. Additional information regarding the programme, accommodation, registration and social activities will be published on an ongoing basis as plans are finalized.
