The Centre is a meeting place for researchers, students, and practitioners working with societal security and emergency preparedness. An important part of the Centre’s work is to contribute to increased knowledge about vulnerability, prevention, and crisis management in society.
The Centre organizes and participates in a range of conferences and seminars that bring together professionals from various sectors. These conferences are particularly relevant for those who work with, or have an interest in, societal security and emergency preparedness, and who wish to engage with researchers and practitioners in the field.
The Centre is also a co-organizer of the Preparedness Day (Beredskapsdagen), held annually at USN Campus Vestfold in collaboration with the County Governor of Vestfold and Telemark and several other emergency preparedness stakeholders.
