Systems Engineering Group Collaborates with Kongsberg High-Tech Industries on Industry 4.0 Roadmapping Methodology

The Systems Engineering Research Group has announced a two-year collaboration with Kongsberg High-Tech Industries as part of the BatNet project. The project aims to develop a roadmapping methodology for companies transitioning to Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The research project will help companies create and maintain roadmaps that guide not only their digitalization initiatives but nearly all aspects of their business. The roadmaps will help reduce changes in product policy, missed market opportunities, and enable companies to make the right decisions at the right time.

The collaboration within the BatNet project will soon be expanded with the involvement of a PhD candidate and at least two industry master students in systems engineering. These students will work in one of the partner companies to enhance their research and gain practical experience.

The outcome of this research project will provide valuable insights and support for companies seeking to embrace Industry 4.0 and optimize their operations in the rapidly changing technological landscape
