Astrid Camilla Wiig is associate professor in pedagogy, and received her PhD in Educational Science in 2019 with a thesis on how knowledge moves across informal and formal contexts of learning. Wiigs’ research interests include dialogic and sociocultural perspectives on how digital tools transform learning and assessement practices across professional professions. She is also investigating youth cultures and in particular how vocational students engage with Augmented Reality in Kongsberg. The next two years, Wiig is leading USNs workpackage in the PROSIM project, funded by NFR, investigating professional simulatior practices in maritim, health and bioingenieur Bachelor education. Alongside her research, Wiig has years of experience in teaching pedagogy for teachers and future maritime instructors, i.e. master students in a maritime management program, and she is responsable for the master course in pedagogy called formal and informal learningprocesses in the child and youthculture.
