Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology, and have worked with applied cross-disciplinary research for more than 20 years. Currently he enjoys being a researcher practitioner by splitting his time between academia and industry where he works with data science, algorithmic development of software utilizing psychometrics and Large Language Models to design tests for systems for Job Selection, Career guidance, and Person-Job Fit.

Responsibilities

  • Professor in work- and organizational psychology

  • Supervision of master- and phd-candidates

  • Course responsible for MSH-VET4100 (Theory and Methods of Science)
  • Lecturing in MSH-VAA4300 "health promoting work places", in
  • Lecturing in applied statistics with SPSS in MSH-OPP4400 "Master thesis"
  • Research 
  • Aquisition of external funding for research- and innovation projects

I was Head of Research Group in Health Promotion in Settings until August 2025. 

 

Competences

  • Professor-competent in three fields: 1) work and organisational psychology: maritime human factors (from 2011), in 2) Work Life Research (2018) and 3) Human-Technology Cooperation (2020). 
  • Sound understanding of Applied Statistics with particular focus on General Linear Modelling, robust non-parametric statistics and bootstrapping procedures. 
  • Employs Large Lanugage models to investigate the Semantic Theory of Survey Responses and related thematic areas. 
  • Experienced in Cross-disciplinary research
