USN School of Business
Campus Drammen
As a Professor of Computer Science at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), I work on the digital infrastructure of the future: systems that are intelligent, resilient, secure and energy-aware. My research combines network modelling, optimisation, congestion control, AI/ML and cybersecurity, with a special focus on the Recursive InterNetwork Architecture (RINA), 5G/6G, IoT and autonomous network operations. I coordinate several strategic initiatives at USN, including the Industry Bachelor in Information Technology and Information Systems, Microsoft Learn for Educators and the Cisco Networking Academy. I also supervise students in topics ranging from congestion control and network architecture to AI-enabled cybersecurity and applied machine learning. My teaching spans AI/ML, data engineering, full-stack development, cybersecurity and business intelligence. Before joining USN, I held a research position at the University of Oslo and contributed to EU Horizon projects such as PRISTINE on programmable and virtualised networks. I also bring private-sector experience from software development, digital services, banking systems and loyalty-platform technologies. Across research, education and industry collaboration, my goal is to help design trustworthy digital infrastructures — and educate the engineers who will build them.
