Som professor i informatikk ved Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge (USN) arbeider jeg med fremtidens digitale infrastruktur: systemer som er intelligente, robuste, sikre og energieffektive. Forskningen min kombinerer nettverksmodellering, optimalisering, overbelastningskontroll, KI/maskinlæring og cybersikkerhet, med særlig vekt på Recursive InterNetwork Architecture (RINA), 5G/6G, IoT og autonome nettverksoperasjoner.
Jeg koordinerer flere strategiske initiativer ved USN, blant annet Næringsbachelor i IT og informasjonssystemer, Microsoft Learn for Educators og Cisco Networking Academy. Jeg veileder også studenter innen temaer som overbelastningskontroll, nettverksarkitektur, KI-drevet cybersikkerhet og anvendt maskinlæring. Undervisningen min dekker blant annet KI/maskinlæring, data engineering, fullstack-utvikling, cybersikkerhet og business intelligence.
Før jeg begynte ved USN, hadde jeg en forskerstilling ved Universitetet i Oslo og bidro til EU Horizon-prosjekter som PRISTINE, med fokus på programmerbare og virtualiserte nettverk. Jeg har også erfaring fra privat sektor innen programvareutvikling, digitale tjenester, banksystemer og lojalitetsplattformteknologi. På tvers av forskning, utdanning og samarbeid med arbeidslivet er målet mitt å bidra til utviklingen av pålitelig digital infrastruktur — og å utdanne ingeniørene som skal bygge den.
