Dr. Vimala Nunavath is an Associate Professor in Data Science at the Department of Science and Industry Systems, University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), Kongsberg. She obtained her Ph.D degree in ICT from University of Agder in 2017. Prior to her current position, she worked as an Associate Professor at University of Bergen. In addition, she contributed her expertise as a postdoctoral fellow and senior researcher in Artificial Intelligence at the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research group (CAIR), UiA. Currently, she is actively involved in cutting-edge research, exploring diverse areas such as applied machine learning and deep learning, big data analytics and management, domain modelling, semantic interoperability, human-centered AI, and model-based data integration. She also imparts her knowledge through teaching bachelor's, master's and Ph.D level courses in the field of data science.
