My Responsibilities as Vice Dean
As Vice Dean of the faculty, my role is to facilitate and advance research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities that contribute to realizing the faculty's strategic goals. This position is built on my extensive experience in the university and higher education sector (since 2003), where I have undertaken a wide range of responsibilities in both teaching and research. I have taught at all university levels and developed a broad international research network, which stands as one of my greatest strengths in this position. With this background, I also strive to be a strong role model who inspires colleagues and students in their academic development.
My Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development of Research and Innovation: I lead and support research, development, and innovation activities that generate new knowledge and societal impact, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and international perspectives.
- Academic Collaboration and Networking: I promote collaboration across departments, disciplines, and campuses while strengthening our relationships with national and international research communities to enhance our global influence.
- Enhancing Research Quality and Funding: I work to establish solid and predictable frameworks for research, focusing on increasing academic publications and securing externally funded projects.
- Responsibility for the Ph.D. Program: I hold overall responsibility for the faculty's Ph.D. program in Person, Health, and Society, ensuring it maintains high quality and aligns with national and international standards.
- International Engagement: I represent the faculty at national and international arenas for research and education policy, contributing to strengthening the university's position as a recognized leader in research and innovation.
- Facilitation and Support: I serve as a strategic supporter for the Dean, department heads, and research group leaders, contributing to the coordination and optimization of the faculty's resources and efforts.

Through my work, I aim to contribute to a world-leading research and learning environment that develops knowledge and solutions to complex societal challenges. My extensive experience in the university and higher education sector, where I have taught at all levels and undertaken a wide range of research responsibilities, has provided me with a unique understanding of academic development and interdisciplinary collaboration. Furthermore, I have built a strong international research network that provides the faculty with access to global resources and collaborative opportunities. With this experience, I strive to be a clear role model who inspires colleagues, students, and researchers to reach their full potential. I see it as our responsibility to advance research that creates tangible societal impact while preparing the next generation of researchers and academics to be global leaders in an era of rapid change and growing complexity.
