The Basics

Through weekly online classes, guided activities and independent study, you will learn basic vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. You will also practise simple written and oral communication in a supportive learning environment, together with students from other EDUC partner universities.

By the end of the course, you should be able to understand short messages about familiar topics, read simple texts, and communicate in basic Norwegian using the language covered in class.

Micro Credential

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate in the form of a micro-credential and 5 ECTS from the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN).

If you wish to have the course recognised as part of your study programme or degree at USN, you must clarify this with the programme coordinator for your study programme. Recognition into study programmes or degrees on other EDUC universitites depends on the local regulations.

Live Teaching Sessions

Learning activities combine live online classes with asynchronous learning materials, and participants are expected to take an active part in class.
