Lost or stolen PC

Employees are expected to supervise USN equipment and minimize the risk of having their PCs and other equipment stolen.

You who are employed and have a USN-PC are responsible for reporting the loss.

The following process must be followed if the PC is stolen or lost:

  • IT must be informed immediately with an email to IT-support@usn.no or by phone to 31008200 so we can block access to the machine.
  • USN password should be changed as soon as possible.
  • If the PC is stolen, the theft must be reported to the police.
  • The employee must document that the points above have been completed.
In advance, we expect all data of value to be stored in a place with backup and securing of data. See storage guide.
